Stuff Reporter : The American-based social organization ‘The One Tech Foundation’ has provided scholarships to 16 meritorious students of Faridgonj Protyashi RA High School. Some cash, crests and valuable books were officially handed over as scholarships to the meritorious students in the school hallroom on Sunday afternoon, December 26.

Honourable assistant teacher Maulana Anwar Hossain recited the Qur’an at the beginning of the program conducted by assistant teacher Md. Billal Hossain. The headmaster of the school Jyoti Prakash Das was present as the chief guest on the occasion. He said, “I would like to thank all those involved in the One Tech Foundation for providing scholarships to the meritorious students of our school from 6th to 10th class. These scholarships and honors will create motivation among the students. I am hopeful that this will continue.”

Assistant teachers Mizanur Rahman, Tapan Kumar, Joint General Secretary of Faridgonj PressClub Nurul Islam Farhad, Editor and Publisher Dontyono Islam and Project Co-ordinator of the Foundation Ashrafur Rahman Shaown among others spoke on the occasion.

Project Co-ordinator Shaown spoke about The One Tech Foundation, he saying, “It’s a social organization based in America. It is an organization created by American Citizenship Bangladeshi teenager Anwar Ibrahim Kader. Through which the main objective is to motivate others to be meritorious by providing scholarships among the meritorious students of Bangladesh. Her older sister Nur Sarah Kader is a student at American Harvard University. He also has an organization called ‘The One Light Foundation’; Through which various educational oriented activities have already been organized including distribution of educational materials among different students at different times. It maybe mentioned that Anwar Ibrahim Kader and Nur Sarah Kader have also published some books in English from Bangladeshi publications. Which have garnered widespread acclaim in all good place.’
